Misty is a one-girl disaster zone. Born with a Savant 'gift' that means she can never tell a lie, her compulsive truth-telling gets her into trouble wherever she goes.
So when she meets Alex: gorgeous, confident, and impossibly charming, Misty instantly resolves to keep her distance . . . Someone so perfect could never be hers, surely?
But a dark shadow has fallen across the Savant community. A serial killer is stalking young people who have these special mental powers. Soon one of them will be taken to the edge of death . . . and beyond.
At the barbeque, it is confirmed that Uriel and Tarryn are each other's soulfinders. Misty is introduced by Jonas, the history teacher, to the boys from the senior school debating team: Alex du Plessis, Micheal Steyn, Hugo Smith and Phil Cronje. Misty embarrasses Alex in front of his friends by beating him at table tennis and Alex insults Misty's appearance, his insults are amplified by Misty's gift of truth telling as she eavesdrops. Alex and Misty go to Table Mountain with her family.
Returning to England, Misty goes to a Savant Summer Camp in Cornwall with her two best friends, Angel and Summer.
Afterwards Misty discovers her friend Summer and Alex's birthdays are close so she suspects they might be soul finders but she is proven wrong when Alex doesn't become Summer's soul finder ... He becomes Misty's . Soon Alex and Misty develope a strong bond that seems unbreakable until Alex's Uncle Johan turns up . Johan seems sweet until he kidnaps Misty as he is the serial killer and takes Misty to Oregon to meet Alex's real parents ,the ones that left Alex at a very young age.
Johan takes Misty for granted and when Alex finds Misty , Johan accidentally kills Misty . But this isn't the end . A piece of Misty was left inside Alex and so with Crystal's help Misty is brought back to life and Johan was taken to jail.
